This quilt pattern by Diane McGregor of Castilleja Cotton is called "Jumping Whale". It has a stunning Orca Whale jumping, playing and doing flips in the ocean, with a background of sky, mountains, and a forest. The directions call for using the fusible applique technique. This is a digital .pdf quilt pattern and instructions, and you will be able to download and print the (2) cover and pattern files as soon as your purchase is complete.
The block size will be 12" x 10", and when the border is added it will measure 18.5" x 16.5". This is great for making an artistic wall display or a special panel in a quilt. By shrinking or enlarging the pattern, you could make all kinds of things, including a table runner or placemats, etc. Batik fabrics give a beautiful tropical look while adding depth, but you can use any favorite fabric to make this design.
